Biography

Intisar Ibrahim is a Doctoral prepared Nurse Practitioner with dual Board Certifications in Family Medicine and Family Psychiatry. She has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut since 2013, treating children, adolescents, adults, and older adults with a variety of mental and health conditions/illnesses in the office and through telemedicine.

Dr. Ibrahim expertise includes working with individuals affected by Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, Insomnia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults and children, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Addiction, Conduct Disorder (CD), Schizophrenia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Dr. Ibrahim practice includes prescribing medication, adjusting the medications based on their effectiveness and the client’s response.  She collaborates with team members Psychiatrists, LCSW, and psychologists, admits clients to the hospital, and participates in discharge planning which includes after-care. Dr. Ibrahim’s extraordinary commitment to providing compassionate, outstanding, and up-to-date patient care was the driving force to her achievement.

Dr. Ibrahim earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Chamberlain University. Obtained her Master of Science in Nursing / Family Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). She obtained her Postgraduate Certificate from Liberty University with a focus in Psychiatry. She is Trilingual and speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Arabic.
