Dr. Shahan Sibtain is a board-certified psychiatrist with a distinguished career focused on compassionate and comprehensive mental health care. After graduating from SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences in India, he completed his residency in General Psychiatry at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, New Jersey, where his leadership skills earned him roles as Chief Resident and later Chief Psychiatrist of the outpatient behavioral health clinic. Dr. Sibtain further honed his expertise with a visiting fellowship in Electroconvulsive Therapy at Columbia University.
Dr. Sibtain specializes in medication management and holistic approaches, supporting patients in receiving appropriate therapy services alongside pharmacological treatment. His clinical interests span across depression, anxiety, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and particularly treatment-resistant depression. A published author in psychiatric journals, Dr. Sibtain received the Best Paper Award from the New Jersey Psychiatric Association and was honored with the NJBIZ Healthcare Heroes Innovation Award in 2023.
