Carol Berman, MSW, LSW

Carol Berman, MSW, LSW is a graduate of the Rutgers School of Social Work and a member of Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Society. Carol works with youth, adults, and has spent much of her career working to combat social isolation in the lifespan of senior adults in VA, assisted/nursing, and independent living facilities.

Coming from a strengths perspective and utilizing different therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic, solution-focused, and alternative therapies such as drama, music and art, horticulture and mindfulness, Carol believes in the therapeutic alliance that clients and social workers create during therapy. In addition to the individual therapeutic alliance, Carol believes deeply in learning, growth, and healing through Group therapy. Both Individual and Group therapy can provide support for clients to help build social, emotional tools to assist in coping with life challenges.
