Robert Douglas, LAMFT, LAPC

Robert is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Associate Professional Counselor. He has a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Memphis and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis of Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. He is currently a Doctoral Candidate studying the philosophy of Psychology at Liberty University. He has an Executive Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of Florida and is also a Certified Life Coach.

Robert takes the approach that all individuals and family systems are unique and should create a “space” that encompasses all of the salient components in their lives. Life has peaks and valleys, and there is no one size fits all approach to therapy. Creating a safe, respectful therapeutic environment is his goal. He takes an eclectic approach and individualizes the interventions and treatment plans for the client’s and family’s needs. He works with clients regarding family satisfaction, couples’ happiness, depression, anxiety, stress, grief, and other
psychological impairments. His core belief is that the practice of therapy is to apply principles, techniques, methods of counseling, and psychotherapy to help individuals resolve psychological conflict and adjust behaviors and perceptions..
